General Manager

Urban Renew is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee sales and operations for our location on South Street in Morristown. This is a critical position for our continued growth and expansion.

Urban Renew is the first of its kind touchless therapeutic massage and relaxation studio that features private room, shiatsu massage with compression, heat, and aromatherapy. It’s the perfect way to decompress, reconnect and restore yourself. Complete with aromatherapy and gentle ambient music, Urban Renew is the first of its kind wellness experience that offers single session massage experiences, packages or unlimited memberships. Founded by husband and wife team, Jeff and Kathryn Oram, the South Street location will serve as the jumping off point for ultimate franchise expansion. The ideal General Manager will oversee all Studio functionality from local marketing, sales and staff.


  • 2+ years of retail/fitness sales and operational experience.

  • Confident in generating personal sales and training team members in sales

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with owners

  • Ability to manage and drive all revenue streams from membership sales to retail

  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email.

  • Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment.

  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgment.

  • An affinity and passion for fitness/wellness/healing.

  • Solid writing and grammar skills.

  • Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

  • Professional, punctual, reliable and neat.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients and the general public.

  • Proficiency with computers and Studio software


  • Lead generation including Grass Roots Local Marketing and Community Networking

  • Implement sales process to schedule prospects into Intro session

  • Drive Membership sales through outside sales and business development efforts

  • Manage staff schedule

  • Supervise front desk personnel

  • Proficiency in MindBody, to include revenue reports, session reports, etc.

  • Independently make decisions related to high level customer service

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the relaxation studios

  • Enforce Urban Renew policies and procedures

  • Ensure all Urban Renew literature is stocked and visible

  • Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions

  • Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio

  • Any other duties as assigned


  • This position offers a very competitive base salary; based on experience & performance

  • Commission paid on sales and location revenue growth
